Participants were invited to join in an exercise to connect with the natural environment, participated in a workshop titled "Medicine from our Hedgerows", watched a demonstration of making natural soap and an immune boosting rosehip oxymel.
We cooked apple and cinnamon parcels over the campfire and crafted herb bundles to keep kitchens pest free and decorative rowan berries bracelets.

Activities included a grounding opening ceremony, a guided relaxation, a herbal tasting workshop, forest bathing and to closed it all off, an energetic fire ritual.

Earthwise Collective went to the Latitude Festival to deliver wellbeing sessions at the Mind, Body, Zen area in collaboration with The Zen Project.
Amanda led sound healing sessions on the Zen bus, using sounds from Himalayan bowls and the voice to ground participants and to bring the chakras (nervous system) into balance.
Nicola delivered a shamanic drumming session at the Tree of Life, inviting participants to meet their spirt animal and a session on the Zen bus, to contemplate life’s crossroads, helping participants to find answers to questions on navigating life pathways. Lammas was a gathering to celebrate the bountiful harvest of grains. We made harvest bread on the fire and dipped in organic rosemary oil, a tea tasting to attune ourselves with the medicine of the plants. We crafted corn dollies as per the tradition of this land and sang songs written by well missed friends.
Thank you to our friends at the beautiful Mile End Community Garden for letting us use the space for our event.

Summer Solstice or Litha, marking the longest day of the year and celebrating the sun's life giving power lending to vitality of life on planet Earth.
It was our first ever public event marked by attendees' contributions to the making of a Mandala, brewing their own blend of herbal tea, the sharing of songs led by hand drums and the crafting of Tudor style bracelets.
Our deepest gratitude to those who came and donated. We also felt blessed by the support of our friends from East London chapter of Green Spirit.
